Tami:
Amanda,
Where do I begin? I can remember complaining about how I was feeling with menopause on my doorstep; the hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, weight gain and the lack of energy. Then someone told me about you. It didn't take long and I was in your office. How impressive. You did not rush me out the door. You took lots of time to hear my issues and gave me your thoughts, you taught me all the many things that go in to balancing my hormones and balancing the changes going on during the season of my life. Once I had my tests results in you were able to guide me in the direction best for my body. What I found out about hormones was amazing. Menopause is not just hot flashes, etc., it is about making life style changes. It is about eating correctly, exercise, supplements and natural hormones. Very important natural hormones; as in bio-identical hormones. All the tests you ran gave you an idea of where I need to be with my body. You know, it didn't take long and my hot flashes were subsiding, my attitude was better and my weight was dropping off.
How do you say thank you to someone that has made such large difference in your life? There are no words that describe how much of my life you have given me back. I feel as if I have regained a good ten years of my life. One of the neat things is being able to tell others about you. How you can make a change in their lives as well. In fact, I told someone about you just last Thursday. Maybe I should start carrying your business cards with me.
Amanda, thank you again for all you have done for me, for giving me the opportunity to have a new lease on life. You are the best. See you soon.
Hugs,
Tami

Amanda Lucero’s gynecology office is like a spa, not a medical office. The wait time is minimal, and members of her staff are pleasant and cheerful. Once inside the examining room, I felt like I was in a women’s boutique. Gone were the sterile walls and large pictures of vaginas and breasts. Instead, the walls were bathed in a warm neutral color, and they were accented with tranquil blue decorations, including a cheerful sunflower painting. Soothing classical music wafted through the building. When I was told to undress and sit in the chair across the room, my mouth dropped. There was no awkward table, where it is uncomfortable to sit half-naked while waiting to be examined. To my delight, a light blue cloth gown — not a paper one — was provided for me. I felt totally covered, especially with the navy blue drape for my legs. I sat there and waited briefly in that comfortable chair, and I knew that this office cared about provided a relaxing atmosphere — one where patients would not dread the annual female visit. Amanda Lucero entered the room, and her upbeat and warm personality furthered calmed my trepidation. She chatted with me about my life and medical history and listened to my concerns. The comfortable banter helped me to relax, and I felt confident that I was in great hands. As it turns out, the comfortable chair was electric, and it tilted and turned me into position for the exam—with no awkward scooting to the end of a table required. With her years of experience in gynecology and her concern for her patients, I know that I am receiving top-notch medical care in a tranquil atmosphere.
